USE OF STANDARD SCANNING DEVICE IN ASTROMETRIC REDUCTION OF PHOTOGRAPHIC OBSERVATIONS OF PLANETS AND NATURAL SATELLITES. A.A.Kisselev, T.P.Kisseleva, K.N.Zamarashkin (The Main Astronomical Observatory at Pulkovo, Pulkovskoe shosse, 65-1, St.-Petersburg, 196140, Russia.) The applicability of a scanner in coordinate measurements of stars and Solar system objects on the photoplates is shown. The Hewlett Packard IIP scanner was used for measurements. Calibration of the scanner was done by comparison of measurements of chozen photoplate containing M13 both with the scanner and the semi-automatical measuring tool "Ascorecord". It was founded out that position of an image on the scanner could be estimated with accuracy of 1/2 of the pixel. For instance, for angular distance between the components of the double star ADS 11632( six images on the plate) it has been got: r= 13".114 +/- 0."189 . Measurements of the Saturnian satellites system were performed with the same order of accuracy. Resolution of the scanner (600 dpi) was not enough for precise coordinate measurements, but it should be expected to have the accuracy comparable to that been got by usual means if a scanner with resolution no less than 3000 dpi would be used.
