This volume will be published by HM Stationary Office later this year.  
The book provides astronomers and navigators with ephemerides and methods 
for calculating the position of the Sun, Moon, 
navigational planets and stars to low precision (0.'1).  NavPac, a software 
package for IBM compatibles, based on the book, and valid from 1985 to 2000 
is included.  NavPac calculates the 
position of the bodies, the times of rise, set, and twilight, 
and altitude and azimuth.  For navigators there 
is a sight reduction option for finding position from altitude observations, 
and a rhumb line and great circle route finder.  ASCII files of the ephemerides 
are also included on the disc.
