SATEL/PHENJUPITER:

These files give the predictions (in Terrestrial Time) of
the phenomena (eclipses, occultations, transits and shadows) of the
Galilean satellites of Jupiter and associated data: dates of the geocentric
and heliocentric conjunctions, tangential coordinates on mid-month
          of the eclipsed satellites.

CONTENTS:

phenE.xxxx: English version of compact predictions (about 60 ko each)

Phenomena of the Galilean satellites for the year xxxx. Predictions
of the disappearance and the reappearance during an eclipse (ECD or
ECR) or an occultation (OCD or OCR) of a Galilean satellite, or the
ingress and egress during its transit in front Jupiter (TRI or TRE)
or the transit of its shadow (SHI or SHE).

The Galilean satellites are labeled as following: I,II,III,IV for
Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. For each month, the phenomena are
            chronologicaly ordered in four columns.

The dates t of the mid event (the satellite or its umbra is
bissected) are given in the TT time scale (Terrestrial Time,
nearly TAI + 32.184 s). TU dates tUT can be deduced from t thanks to
            the formula
tUT = t - (TT - TU) when the value TT-TU is known.
This is the case for the last years and these values are given in
the following table. For the next year we can use the more recent
            value.

             -----------------------------
             Interval TT-TU(s)
             -----------------------------

             1/ 1/1996-30/ 6/1997 62
             1/ 7/1997-31/12/1998 63
             1/ 1/1999-31/12/2005 64
             1/ 1/2006-31/12/2008 65
             1/ 1/2009-30/ 6/2012 66
             1/ 7/2012-30/ 6/2015 67
             1/ 7/2015-31/12/2016 68
             1/ 1/2017- 69
             -----------------------------

The format of the records is given in the following example, where
yy, mm, hh, mm.m, s and phen designed the year, month, hour, minute,
number of the satellite and type of the phenomenon.

phenF.xxxx: French version of compact predictions (about 60 ko each)

same predictions but using the French nomenclature of the
            phenomena defined as following:

ECD and ECR become E. c. and E. f. (eclipse commencement et fin)
OCD and OCR become Im. and Em. (Immersion et emersion)
SHI and SHE become O. c. and O. f. (ombre commencement et fin)
TRI and TRE become P. c. and P. f. (passage commencement et fin)

phencE.xxxx
and
phencF.xxxx: (about 106 ko each)

these files give the predictions of the phenomena in a sequential
            form (chronologicaly ordered).

xyE.xxxx: these files allow you to know the positions of the eclipsed Galilean
satellites during the year xxxx. They give the differential
coordinates X and Y of the Galilean satellites (X towards the East
and Y towards the North) during an eclipse at a date near the middle
            of each month.

xyF.xxxx: same as xy.Exxxx with French designations of the phenomena.

JovianEventsUTxxxx.txt : for the year xxxx, predictions of the phenomena in UT,
rounded to the minute, conjunctions, tangential coordinates XY
and dates of invisibility of Jupiter

NOTE:

These predictions have been made using the G-5 Ephemerides (Arlot, 1982) based on the Sampson-Lieske (Lieske, 1977) theory of the motions of the Galilean satellites until the predictions for 2014.

The predictions for the years 2015-2022 are made using the Lainey's theory (Lainey et al. 2004, 2007).

The predictions for the following years are made using the Lainey's theory (Lainey, 2021).

Each event is computed for the center of the satellites: for the eclipses these dates are approximately the half brightness (or mid event), for the other phenomena they correspond to the bissection of the satellites.
