První české gymnázium v Karlových Varech (The First Czech Grammar School in Karlovy Vary) is a high school of a grammar type. It offers four-years and eight-years programmes. Students devote to a wide range of subjects for a long time and therefore get an extensive knowledge in various disciplines. A choice of seminary classes in the third and fourth (if you like seventh and eigth) year gives the students an opportunity for a more narrow specialisation.
Our students regularly take part in both subject and sport competitions. Our school achieved numerous successes in both of them in the past years.
The history of our school began in the 20s. The school was founded in the year 1924, which suggests that celebrations of the eighty years anniversary of our school will be held this year.
